About two years ago we decided the entrance steps to our outside basement door needed to be repaired. We talked to several landscapers and chose Layaou Landscaping because we were most impressed with Fred Layaou's hardscape design for our entrance. The work exceeded all our expectations.
In fact, we asked Fred to complete several more landscape jobs around our home, not only in our backyard but a major undertaking in our front yard, also.
Layaou Landscaping did a major backyard hardscape project at our son's home also, which we all were very impressed with. His plan helped to alleviate a drainage problem he had been having in his yard for years.
The workers arrived early, took great pains not to damage any property they were not actively working on, and left each night after cleaning up around the area. They were friendly and pleasant and took the time to answer any questions we had.

I heard about Layaou Landscaping from a friend and I went to their web site and was very impressed. I called and told them I wanted someone to come out and create a landscape design and the estimator was at my home the very next day. You could tell right away that he was very knowledgeable about landscape designs and we walked my property to discuss the possibilities. The next day I received a very detailed proposal and after a few adjustments I decided to have them do my landscaping. When they completed the work it was more then I expected. I would recommend Layaou Landscaping to anyone.

Great company!! First of all real people answer the phone when you call and the owner himself came out the next day to look at our job and give us an estimate. Then we had a nice, detailed, professional quote emailed to us within a few days. We were able to zero in on the items that we wanted to do first which was a paver patio, wall and walkway and a little landscaping. The work was completed within a week and it is beautiful. We are looking forward to adding to our outdoor improvements this year with Layaou Landscaping. We have referred several friends to them, and so far everyone has been pleased.
If you want a company that gets the job done, call this one!! We had recently moved from Texas to Delaware into a house that needed a lot of TLC. We were frustrated trying to get someone to come out to give us some ideas and pricing and we either got voice mails or the person said they would come out and never showed up. Then we found Fred Layaou - he came out within a few days even though it was the busy spring season. We discussed several projects and I knew that I could not do everything at once, but when the quote was emailed to me it was all itemized out, so it was easy to choose what we wanted to do now, and what we wanted to do later. Within a week we had a great paver patio and walkway, and a lawn sprinkler system up and running. We then added some landscaping. We had one issue with a couple of shrubs that did not look healthy, and Layaou Landscaping's office person explained to us to wait a bit and see if the plants improved and gave us some advice on watering, etc - About a month later it still looked unhealthy and so they came out and replaced it. I am very happy with my experience with this company, and Fred has a lot of good ideas. His guys were all nice and good workers. You can get them on the phone if you want something done or if you have a question or problem, and that is important.

I first met a representative from your company at a trade show and my inquiry was immediately followed-up the next day with a phone call to set up an appointment for a free estimate. Fred drove all the way to our home in Rehoboth to meet with us on a Saturday when it was most convenient for us.
He walked the property, took notes and a few days later we had a detailed plan for our hardscape and landscaping project. Fred had some excellent ideas and was very knowledgeable about plants, lawn, sprinkler system, drainage etc. We decided to go ahead with the project and it was scheduled again at our convenience as we do not live at the house in Rehoboth. The entire project was completed in 2 days and it looks great! The workers were diligent and cleaned up everything and Fred was onsite to supervise. We are looking forward to the Spring when everything starts to fill in. We were so pleased with the work that we hired them to maintain our lawn/yard year round. Great customer service as well!

I wanted to take a few moments to express the satisfaction that both my husband and I experienced with dealing with you and the employees at your office. When we first met with you, we advised that we needed our patio for our upcoming house warming.
You and your team of workers were phenomenal with delivering and completing the patio in just two in a half days. When we came in on Saturday and finalized our paperwor( your team of men was already at our home delivering the materials. The very next day, the workers worked from B:30 in the morning to 7:30 in the evening, then finished the rest of the job in a day in a half.
We received rave reviews about our patio from our guest at our house warming. It is very elegant and I often just stare at it! It adds a great deal of value to our home and the landscaping is also beautiful.
We will be calling on you again in the future to complete some additional paving for us and I will also refer all of our friends to your company.

Dear Mr. Layaou,
My husband and I are writing to express our gratitude and satisfaction with the landscape work you recently did at our home in Middletown. Feel free to use our home as a'"showcase" for anyone who wishes to "stop by" to check out the quallty of our your work in this area.
We were so happy that you could build our massive rear patio while we are on vacation! The brick pavered patio was built around our existing pool deck of concrete. The patio also connected to the driveway. You seamlessly connected the patio to the entryway of the home, which is two and half feet above ground level! Once the patio was built, you perfectly set a black wrought iron fence along the line of the pool deck and patio. This patio construction was challenging because of the above-mentioned requirements. Your patience with us, while we designed and selected color and style, was appreciated. You were able to show us many examples of your previous work. We knew exactly what we were going to receive prior to signing the contract. The end result is a stunning patio. We receive compliments from everyone who sees it. In fact, we
named our rear yard, Resortski!
The same pavers were utilized in the front of the house to replace a slate walkway from the driveway to the front door. Agairq we followed your advice on the layout: a walkway leading to a radial design set before the entryway. It is very grand in appearance and size. The existing concrete steps were capped with pavers; making it look as though the concrete steps were never there.
The in-ground sprinkler system with six zones makes maintaining our trees and shrubbery a cinch. The timer option greatly enhances the system.
The transplanting of our existing shrubs and the extension of our beds places the size of the lawn and home in scale with our flowerbeds. All of the transplants have thrived. We intend to continue to embellish our landscape through your company. All work described was executed in a timely manner with precise attention to detail. Suggestions were carried out and we couldn't be more pleased.
Needless to say, we are very pleased with the work completed, especially considering the magnitlde of the job. The work was delivered as promised. We have and will continue to refer you to our family and friends. We'll be seeing you next season,

Dear Mr. Layaou,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and the crew for their hard work and patience as we adapted to ournew sprinkler system and sod. The sprinkler system is working very well once per day in the middle of the night. The rain sensor shut-off is working as well. The sod has begun to take off and looks great. We appreciate your calls to remind us to adjust the sprinkler.
Please feel free to take pictures of our lawn for your reference file. You may also use us as a reference as well. We appreciate your offer for a Berkeley Garden Bench. Quite frankly though we have enough lawn furniture. I'd appreciate a little extra mulch to spread around in a few areas in lieu of the bench if that's possible.
